The work is based on an extensive research of archives, which is mostly represented through well preserved archive of the society Gajret. It has been kept in the National archives of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Historical archives and archives of the Gazi Husrev-Beg Library in Sarajevo, then in the Yugoslavian Archives of and Archives of Serbia in Belgrade. A significant number of documents related to the work of the "Belgrade Gajret" which is kept in the archives was published in these thesis. The aim of this thesis is to show the historical conditions and circumstances under which the society Gajret was formed in 1903. and how it was developed since its establishment to the liquidations in 1941. The other aim is to answer the questions of how and in which way during its few decade of existence, its work has been effected cultural, political and, in general, social life of the Muslims in Bosnia and Hercegovina and other areas. As the essence topic in this thesis would be showing every aspect of the work of "The Belgrade Gajret", related to that we have to show how this society managed to meet and fulfill its main goal of existing, and that was the facilitation of schooling Muslim youth, mainly from Bosnia and Hercegovina at the University and other high schools in Belgrade.

Fokus ovog rada je na vakufu Sviračke džamije do polovine 20. stoljeća. Tretirani vakuf nastao je izgradnjom džamije u Svircu između 1801. i 1810. godine. Među najpoznatije vakife spadaju Osman-kapetan i muftija Ahmed-ef. Mulaibrahimović- Svirac. Prema popisu iz 1933. godine u posjedu ovog vakufa bilo je 45.259 m2 zemljišta, džamija, mekteb, nekoliko kuća i dva dućana. U austrougarskog periodu Gruntovničkim zakonom od ovog vakufa oduzeto je u korist bivših zakupaca 125.754 m2 zemljišta. Iz prihoda vakufa podmirivane su potrebe održavanja vakufskih nekretnina i plaćanja vjerskih službenika.

The focus of this paper is on the wakf of Svirac Mosque through mid- 20th century. The wakf had been established along with the construction of the mosque in Svirac between 1801 and 1819. Osman-captain and mufti Ahmed-effendi Mulaibrahimović-Svirac are among its most prominent founders. According to the census of 1933, the wakf owned 45,259 square meters of land, mosque, maktab, several houses, and two shops. During the Austro-Hungarian period, a land law was adopted according to which the wakf was deprived of 125,754 square meters of land in favor of ex renters. The wakf income was used to cover the expenses of real estate maintenance and for salaries to clerics.

U radu je prikazana uloga fra Velimira Ilovače u radu Muzeja u Banjoj Luci za vrijeme Drugog svjetskog rata. Fra Ilovača, najprije kao kustos, a zatim i kao upravnik Muzeja u Banjoj Luci, borio se za interese institucije u kojoj je radio. U surovim ratnim okolnostima, boreći se raznim sredstvima da sačuva bogatu muzejsku građu, fra Ilovača pokazao se kao predani muzejski radnik. Rad je napisan na osnovu originalne arhivske građe, kojom raspolaže Muzej Republike Srpske u Banjoj Luci.

The WW II in Yugoslavia left a disastrous situation in all social aspects and culture was not an exception. During the war, the Museum in Banja Luka faced many problems, the biggest one being preservation of museum artefacts from devastation. Lack of professional staff, negligence and unprofessional work of Museum director Olga Meixner as well as lack of financial support, brought the Museum on the verge of disaster. Such situation has greatly improved with engagement of experienced museum professionals dr Ivan Bach and Vejsil Ćurčić. They arranged for the new inventory of the complete collection and library items to be taken. The archive and photo collection was reorganized and the Museum planned for the future activities. However, the plans for the Museum development have never been fully implemented due to war circumstances. Since he first came to the Museum in October 1941, friar Ilovača has used his best work and knowledge to help the institution grow, but the war prevented him from achieving more success in his endeavours. Even so, he never gave up on putting his best effort in protecting the interest of the institution he worked in, as a curator and its director.

Cilj je ovoga rada istražiti kako su Sarajevski atentat razmatrali japanski listovi prije Prvog svjetskog rata. Pritom, predmet analize nisu samo tokijski nego i listovi u lokalnom gradu i kolonijama, sve to kako bismo dobili što svestraniju sliku. U vezi s tim osvrćemo se i na dosada nepoznatu stranu tj. opis japanskih posjetilaca u Bosni i Hercegovini prije Prvog svjetskog rata. Oni prikazuju kontekst o Bosni i Hercegovini u kome se razmatrao sami atentat, tj. kontekst upravljanja kolonijama, naročito Formosom. Obje analize objašnjavaju kakvu je ulogu atentat imao u japanskoj slici svijeta, odnosno njegovog položaja u geopolitičkom kontekstu neposredno prije Prvog svjetskog rata.

The aim of this paper is to examine how Japanese newspapers covered the Sarajevo assassination before World War I. The analysis includes not only Tokyo newspapers, but also newspapers in the local city and colonies for the purpose of obtaining a more comprehensive picture. In this regard, we will consider the so far unknown side, that is, descriptions provided by Japanese visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina before World War I. They provide for the context on Bosnia and Herzegovina in which the assassination itself was analyzed, namely, the context of management of colonies, in particular Formosa. Both analysis explain the role that the assassination had in the Japanese perception of the world, specifically its position in the geopolitical context shortly before World War I.

Potreba za čuvanjem, zaštitom, organiziranjem, ali i otvorenim pristupom dokumentima, rukopisima, knjigama i drugim materijalnim svjedocima opće i kulturne historije postaje sve izraženija. Polazeći od značaja kulturnog i historijskog naslijeđa, ova civilizacija nastoji izgraditi sistem u kojem će sve što je nastalo i nastaje biti adekvatno zaštićeno i dostupno za korištenje u naučne, obrazovne i kulturne svrhe. U odnosu na različite mogućnosti materijalne destrukcije, kao mjesto sigurne pohrane i čuvanja kulturnog naslijeđa i sjećanja javlja se digitalni arhiv - digitalni repozitorij slika, knjiga, rukopisa i drugih dokumenata. U kojoj je mjeri značajno raditi na digitalnoj pohrani i zaštiti rukopisa govori nam i činjenica da su u toku agresije na Bosnu i Hercegovinu stradali brojni arhivi, biblioteke i rukopisne zbirke. U ovome radu na primjeru Orijentalnog instituta u Sarajevu pokazat ćemo koliko je značajno da proces obnove rukopisnih zbirki i različite arhivske građe, pored klasičnih metoda, obuhvata i primjenu savremenih IT tehnologija.

The need to keep, protect, organise, but also to have an open access documents, manuscripts, books, and other material testimonies of general and cultural history is becoming ever more prominent. Considering the importance of cultural and historical heritage, this civilisation attempts to build a system that would properly protect and make available anything that has been and is being made to serve scientific, educational and cultural purposes. As a response to different possibilities of destruction, and frustration accompanying the loss of memory of heritage, digital archive - digital repository of images, books, manuscripts, and other documents - comes on the scene. The fact that during the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina numerous archives, libraries and manuscript collections have been destroyed, tells us about importance to work on digital storage and protection. In this paper, on the example of the Oriental Institute in Sarajevo, we will show how important is the process of reconstruction of manuscript collections and archives, in addition to traditional methods, scope and application of modern IT technologies.

Thomas Hobbes je svojom filozofijom razvio materijalistu kao i vrlo pesimističnu filozofiju koja nije pronašla svoje mjesto u njegovom vremenu, ali je kasnije imala kontinuirani utjecaj na zapadne političke misli. Njegov "Leviathan" predstavlja sumornu sliku ljudskih bića u prirodnom stanju, gdje je život "gadan, brutalan i kratak", a strah od nasilne smrti je glavni motiv koji potiče ljude da stvaraju državu i predaju svoja prirodna prava apsolutnom autoritetu suverena. Rezultatima istraživanja ovog članka nastojala se afirmirati svjesnost o postojanju i shvatanju Hobbesove filozofije, njegove vizije suverena te utjecaja međunarodnog Leviathana na Bosnu i Hercegovinu. U članku su detaljno izložena najvažnija obilježja Hobbesove percepcije autoriteta i teorije upravljanja, prezentirani su njegovi argumenti za postojanje apsolutnog suverena, ukratko je istražen međunarodni Leviathan i njegov utjecaj na suverenitet Bosne i Hercegovine. Također, u članku je predstavljena trenutna situacija Bosne i Hercegovine kao primjer čovječanstva u Hobbesovom stanju prirode, gdje stanovnici Bosne i Hercegovine proživljavaju nenasilni rat i žive u strahu od mogućeg oružanog sukoba.

Thomas Hobbes with his philosophy created materialist as well as very pessimistic philosophical approach which didn't find its place in that time, but later on had a continuous influence on western political thoughts. His Leviathan portrays gloomy picture of human beings in their natural state where the life is "nasty, brutal, and short", and a fear of violent death is the main incentive that drives people to create a state and surrender their natural rights to an absolute authority of sovereign. Primary mission in researching this article has been to raise awareness about existence and comprehension of Hobbes's philosophy, his vision of sovereign, along with sway of international Leviathan on Bosnia and Herzegovina. The most important concepts of Hobbes's perception of authority and theory of governing are presented in this article, as well as his arguments for existence of absolute sovereign. In short, there is an analysis of international Leviathan and its influence 144 on sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the article presents the current situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a prime example of humanity in Hobbes state of nature where the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are experiencing nonviolent war and continue to live in fear of another arms conflict.

Postmodernom nazivamo umjetnost i kulturu koja nastaje odbacivanjem, kritikom ili korekcijom moderne umjetnosti i kulture. Historiju umjetnosti 20. stoljeća možemo podijeliti na dvije "strane": jedna je apstraktno slikarstvo, a druga readymade (kroz dadu, nadrealizam, fluxus, neodadu, pop-art, minimalističku umjetnost i konceptualnu). Tretirati vrijednost ili značenje umjetničkog djela, također, može ići preko dva pravca: prvi - relativistički (promatrati ga preko konteksta kulture), drugi - realistički (kako vanjska nužnost stvara subjekt a i umjetnost). Gubitak svih kriterija, eklekticizam kao tačka suvremene kulture: reggae muzika i svjetski poznati brend brze hrane McDonalds; usmrćivanje iluzije svijeta u korist jednog apsolutno realnog svijeta jeste, u pravom smislu riječi, simulacija. Za samu umjetnost bolje je da je elitna, da je subverzivna, da je provokativna i da radi u domeni specijaliziranosti. Veoma je važan odnos umjetnost - kultura, što, nažalost za naše područje bivših jugoslavenskih zemalja, i nije slučaj. U 20. stoljeću umjetnici inspiraciju crpe upravo iz suštine ljudskog postojanja - traganja za samopotvrđivanjem, gradeći jedan novi svijet koji na vrlo smisaon način priča o stvarnosti.

The arts and culture developed by rejecting, criticizing or correcting the modern arts and culture is called postmodern. The 20th century's art history can be divided in two "sides" - abstract art at one side and ready-made (via dada, surrealism, fluxus, neo-dada, pop art, minimalism and conceptual arts) at the other. To work with value or meaning of an artwork it implies taking two directions - relativist (treat it through the prism of cultural context) or realistic (how exterior necessity creates the subject and arts). The loss of all criteria, eclecticism as a pivot of contemporary culture: reggae music and a world-renowned fast food brand - McDonald's; killing the illusion of the world in favor of absolutely real world is in the true sense of the word simulation. For the very purpose of art, it is better for it to be elitist - subversive, provocative and to operate in the field of expertise. The art-culture relationship is very important, which unfortunately for our area, the former Yugoslav countries, is not so. The 20th century artists draw inspiration precisely from the nature of human existence - the search for self, by building a new world that in a very meaningful way narrates of reality.

Autor u ovom radu oprašta se od svog profesora i prijatelja, dr. S. Tomovića (1929-2016) na taj način što analizira njegove ključne dimenzije pogleda na svijet, posebno fokusirajući se na ključne, analitičke originalne metafizičke i filozofske hipoteze i njegovo životno djelo. Pored Uvodnog i Završnog slova, u ovom radu se razmatraju sljedeća pitanja od značaja za tumačenje Tomovićeve jedinstvene i originalne slike svijeta. To su: Filozof i pisac sadržajne biografije, Autor impozantne bibliografije, Filozofski kosmos promišljen idejama iz studentskih dana. Zatim, centralno mjesto predstavlja interpretacija: Tri originalne Tomovićeve filozofske hipoteze o odgonetanju smisla i nastanka čovjekove sudbine i življenja (1. "Sami smo u svemiru", 2. "Bog je stvorio život", 3. "Filozofija vremena"); Životno djelo - "6500 vrijednosnih filozofskih sudova", Drame kao kopča između filozofije, historije i literature, U fokusu filozofije svijeta, Tomović kao profesor i pedagog, Mjesto Tomovića u crnogorskoj filozofiji i misli južnoslavenskih naroda. Tomovićeva filozofijska i knjiţevna duhovnost krasila je kritičko umjetničko nadahnuće, razboritost i etička uspravnost u vremenu. Ovo je prva cjelovitija rasprava o Tomovićevom filozofskom sistemu mišljenja.

In this paper, the author bids farewell to his teacher and friend Dr. S. Tomović (1929-2016) in a way of giving the analysis of his key world views, particularly placing the focus on key analytical, original metaphysical philosophical hypotheses and his magnus opus. In addition to the introductory and final letters, this paper discusses the following issues important for interpreting Tomović's unique and original depiction of the world. These are: The Philosopher and Author of a Meaningful Biography, Author of an Impressive Bibliography, Philosophical Universe Reasoned from Student Time Ideas. Then, a central position in the study is the following interpretation: The three original Tomović's philosophical hypotheses about deciphering the meaning and the formation of man's fate and life (1. "We are alone in the universe" 2. "God created life", 3. "Philosophy of Time"); Lifetime Achievement - "6500 Value Judgements of Philosophy"; drama as the bridge between philosophy, history and literature, Philosophy in the focus of the world, Tomović as a teacher and educator; the position of Tomović in Montenegrin philosophy and Southern Slavic people's thought. Tomović's philosophical and literary spirituality, adorned critical artistic inspiration, common sense and ethical uprightness in time. This is the first more complete discussion of Tomović's philosophical system of thought.

Sučeljavanje racia s jedne strane i ljubavi i vjerovanja s druge u djelima Attara Nišaburija seže do temeljnih rasprava o konfrontiranju racia i duše odnosno gnoze, filozofije i teologije čije su brojne refleksije zamjetljive u različitim intelektualno-kulturnim sferama Irana, napose i u perzijskoj poeziji i prozi. To je izraženo u tolikoj mjeri da bi se moglo kazati kako je perzijska književnost budući pod utjecajem razlika u "saznajno-spoznajnim" stajalištima filozofa, teologa i gnostika uvijek bila poprištem sukoba bez kraja između racia i srca. Razloge za ovo treba tražiti u činjenici da u Iranu kao uostalom i u drugim intelektualno-kulturnim miljeima na jednoj strani imamo filozofe, logičare i teologe koji su smatrali kako se do "saznanja" može doći jedino sticanjem znanja uz osiguranje određenih preduvjeta. Oni su žestoko podržavali "autentičnost racia" smatrajući ga najjačim i najpozvanijim sredstvom u dosezanju spoznaje. S druge strane postojali su gnostici i sufije koji su vjerovali u nemogućnost "spoznaje" posredstvom stečenog znanja, racia i filozofije i svega što je u vezi s njima. Po njima "spoznaja" je plod izravnog osvjedočenja i uprisutnjenog znanja. Na temelju ovog svjetopogleda "spoznaja" je rezultat "otkrovenja" i "istraživanja" više negoli je proizvod "sticanja" i "izučavanja". Stoga se spoznavati može samo i jedino srcem. Kada ogledalo srca postane uglačano u njemu se očituje zbiljska ljubav. Ova potonja skupina kritizirala je i obezvređivala racio u poređenju s ljubavlju i vjerovanjem i uvijek je bila u nesuglasju s filozofima i teolozima. Za njih je kao i za Attara racio "svojeglav", "slabašan", "manjkav", "bezbrižan", "koristoljubiv", "zastor duše", "trabunjavac" i "maglovit" premda su mu u poređenju s osjetilima, nagađanjima i neznanjem priznavali dostatnost i potpunost. Ovim radom nastojat ćemo predočiti cjelovitu sliku i analizu pozicije racia komparirajući je sa pozicijom ljubavi i vjerovanja a kroz prizmu poetskih djela šejha Attara Nišaburija.

Confrontation of ratio on one side and love and faith on the other in the works of Attar of Nishapur goes back to the fundamental debate on the confrontation of ratio and soul or gnosis, philosophy and theology whose numerous reflections are discernible in different intellectual and cultural spheres of Iran, especially in the Persian poetry and prose. This is reflected to an extent that it could be stated that the Persian literature as influenced by differences in "cognitive" attitudes of philosophers, theologians and Gnostics has always been the scene of a never-ending conflict between ratio and heart. The reasons for this should be sought in the fact that in Iran, as well as in other intellectual- cultural contexts, on one side we have philosophers, logicians and theologians who believed that "cognition" can be reached only by gaining knowledge while ensuring certain conditions. They strongly supported the "authenticity of ratio" considering it the strongest and most competent asset to reach cognition. On the other side there were the Gnostics and Sufis who believed in the impossibility of "cognition" gained through acquired knowledge, ratio and philosophy and through everything related to them. According to them, "cognition" is the result of direct conviction and of knowledge made present. Based on this worldview, "cognition" is the result of "revelation" and "research" more than it is a product of "acquisition" and "studying". Therefore, it is possible to cognize only with the heart. When the mirror of the heart becomes polished, it reflects genuine love. The latter group criticized and devaluated ratio compared to love and faith and had always been in conflict with the philosophers and theologians. In their opinion, as well as in Attar's, ratio is "obstinate", "weak", "flawed", "carefree", "mercenary", "the curtain of the soul", a "driveller" and "hazy". Nevertheless, compared to senses, speculations and ignorance, ratio has been acknowledged with adequacy and completeness. With this work, we will try to present a comprehensive picture and analysis of the position of ratio comparing it with the position of love and faith through the prism of poetic works of Attar of Nishapur.

908/1502'de Filibe'de doğdu. İlim tahsilinden sonra Halvetî-Cemâlî ricâlinden, Sofyalì Bâlî Efendi'ye intisâb ederek halîfesi oldu. Bir müddet Tatarpazacìğì'nda vaaz ve irşadda bulunduktan sonra İstanbul'a gelerek Küçükayasofya Camii zaviyesinde uzun yìllar şeyhlik etti. Onun meclislerine talebelik ve muidlik yìllarìnda Aziz Mahmud Hüdâyî de katìlmìştìr. Müntesip ve muhipleri arasìnda başta Padişah Kanuni Sultan Süleyman ve sadrazamì Sokollu Mehmed Paşa olmak üzere birçok mühim zatìn bulunduğu nakledilmektedir. Kanûnî Sultan Süleyman'ìn Zigetvar seferi için karar vermesinde Şeyh Nûreddinzâde etkili olmuş ve Nûreddinzâde 1566'daki Zigetvar seferine ordu şeyhi olarak katìlmìştìr. Vefat eden padişahìn nâşìnì İstanbul'a Vezir Ahmed Paşa, Mîrâhur Ferhat Ağa ile birlikte Nûreddinzâde ve dervişleri getirmiştir. Zigetvar'da pâdişahìn iç organlarìnìn gömüldüğü yerde yaptìrìlan türbe ve zâviyede Nûreddinzâde'nin halifelerinden Bosnalì Ali Dede türbedar olmuştur. Sadrazam Sokollu Mehmed Paşa İstanbul Kadìrga'da Mimar Sinan'a inşa ettirdiği, cami, medrese, sìbyan mektebi, tekke ve hazireden oluşan külliyesinde Şeyh Nûreddinzâde için de bir tekke yaptìrmìştìr. Ancak tekke tamamlanmadan Nûreddinzâde vefat etmiş, yerine pîrdeşi Kurd Mehmed Efendi tayin edilmiştir. Tekkede Halvetî-Cemâlî, Celvetî ve Halvetî-Şabanî şeyhleri şeyhlik yapmìştìr. Tekke ile cami arasìndaki hazirede ise tekke postnişinlerinin aile fertleri ve Sokollu Mehmet Paşa'nìn aile fertleri gömülmüştür. 981/1574 tarihinde vefat eden Nûreddinzâde, Edirnekapì dìşìnda Şehidlikte, Sìr Tekke denilen yere defnedilmiştir. 1579'da şehid edilen Sokollu Mehmed Paşa da Eyüp Sultan'daki türbesine gömülmüştür. Türbede Sokollu Mehmet Paşa'dan başka Sokollu Hasan Paşa (1604), Sokolluzade İbrahim Paşa (1621), Sokolluzade Mustafa Bey, Sokollu Mehmet Paşa'nìn kìzì Safiye Hanìm Sultan (1562), Sokollu Mehmet Paşa'nìn oğlu Sultanzade Pir Mehmet Bey, Ali Bey (1567), gibi aile fertlerinden on kişi gömülüdür.

Born in 908/1502 in Plovdiv (Filibe). Following formal education, he joined the Halwati-Jamaili sheikh Bali from Sofia, and became his khalif. After spending some time in Pazardžik (Tatarpazarcik) as a preacher (vaiz) and a Sufi teacher (murshid), he moved to Istanbul and spent a number of years as the sheikh of a zawia in the Küçükayasofya mosque complex. His congregation was also attended by Aziz Mahmud Hüdâyî, while was a student and a perfect of the madrasa. There is information that his followers and supporters included numerous prominent individuals such as the Sultan, Suleiman the Lawgiver, and his Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolović. Sheikh Nûreddinzâde influenced Suleiman the Lawgiver in his decision to organise a campaign against Sigetvar, so that in 1566 he joined the Sigetvar campaign as the military sheikh. Along with Vizier Ahmed Pasha and the principal stable master of the court (mîrâhur) Ferhata Ağa, Nûreddinzâde and his dervishes transported the deceased sultan's body back to Istanbul. In the turbe and the zawia erected in Sigetvar, at the place where the sultan's internal organs were buried, Ali Dede Bošnjak, one of Nûreddinzâde's caliphs, was appointed turbedar. A tekke for Nûreddinzâde was built in the complex that comprised a mosque, a madrasa, a school, a tekke and a cemetery, built at Kadìrga, Istanbul, by Mimar Sinan, commissioned by the Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolović. However, Nûreddinzâde died before the tekke was completed, and Kurd Mehmed- Effendi, from the same tasawwuf school, was appointed instead. Sheikhs from the Jamaili branch of the Halwati tariqat, as well as the Jalveti tariqat and the Shabani branch of the Halwati tariqat served at the tekke. Family members of the sheiks and members of the Sokolović family were buried at the cemetery between the tekke and the mosque. Nûreddinzâde died in 981/1574 and was buried at the martyrs' cemetery just outside Edirnekapì, at a place called Sìr Tekke. Mehmed Pasha Sokolović died a martyr in 1579 and was buried at his turbe at Eyüp Sultan. Along with him, a total of ten members of his family were buried at this cemetery: Hasan Pasha Sokolović (1604) Ibrahim Pasha Sokolović, Mustafa Bey Sokolović, Mehmed Pasha's daughter Safiye-hanum Sultan (Safiye Hanìm Sultan; 1562), his son Sultanzade Pir Mehmed Bey, and Ali Bey (1567).

Pitanjem Boga bavili su se mnogi ljudi, kao i cjelokupna povijest religija i filozofija. Tu se susreću brojne teškoće u razumijevanju pitanja Boga. Svakako, velikim je duhovima čovječanstva, kako na Istoku tako i na Zapadu, bilo prihvatljivo promišljanje da Boga nije moguće pojmiti niti dokraja izreći nikakvim pojmom i iskazom, odnosno definirati nikakvom definicijom. Dakle, Bog je za čovjeka svih vremena jednostavno onaj nepojmljivi, neizrecivi, onaj koga nije moguće definirati. Bog nadilazi svijet i čovjeka i ujedno ih na svoj božanski način prožima. On prebiva u svijetu, obuhvaća ga, a ipak s njime ne može biti identičan. Meister Eckhart (1260. - 1327.), učeni teolog i vodeći mislilac njemačkoga misticizma, jedan je od prvih koji su, nezadovoljni i starim i modernim putom pristupa pitanju Boga, potražili treći nutarnji put. Nama je, dakako, jako zanimljivo kako je on opisao i analizirao razlike između načina postojanja zasnovanih na imanju i na bivstvovanju (imati i biti). Riječ je o mističnome promišljanju usmjerenom više prema iskrenom iznošenju svoga dubokoga iskustva nego prema izgradnji izvornoga sustava. Doista, u Eckhartovim je promišljanjima središnja postavka kako se ljudi prvo moraju osloboditi svake žudnje, zatim svake pohlepe za imovinom i ujedno svake strukture imanja jer su sve etičke norme ukorijenjene u etici bivstvovanja, dijeljenja i solidarnosti. Naime, njegov je radikalni zahtjev za potpunim odustajanjem od orijentacije prema imanju, odnosno zalaganje za posvemašnju neovisnost, kao i zahtjev za društvenom djelatnošću u duhu ljubavi prema bližnjem i ljudske solidarnosti. Svoje stavove on gradi na čvrstome temelju, na Isusu Kristu, koji je za Eckharta junak ljubavi, junak bez moći, koji nije primjenjivao silu, koji nije htio vladati, koji nije htio ništa imati. Bio je junak bivanja, davanja i dijeljenja. U ovome je radu autor pokušao, koliko je moguće, precizno predstaviti cjelokupno djelo Meistera Eckharta koje, po snazi duhovnoga izraza i socio-religioznoga utjecaja, spada u red najizvornijih dokumenata mistike i mističke teologije unutar "zapadnjačkoga" konteksta. Podsjećamo, Eckhart je živio i djelovao na prijelazu iz 13. u 14. stoljeće, a to bijaše i u društvenome i u duhovnome pogledu izuzetno burno vrijeme koje je uslijedilo odmah nakon zlatnoga doba skolastike; to je vrijeme izgradnje velikih filozofsko-teoloških sustava, pa je moderni put, kojim je išao velik broj tadašnjih mladih mislilaca, nailazio na ogromne otpore i osporavanja.

Many people have dealt with the question of God, as have the entire history of religion and philosophy. Numerous difficulties arise while trying to understand this question. Surely, for great minds of mankind, in the East as well in the West, it was an acceptable thought that God could not be conceived or expressed by no concept or utterance, i.e. defined by no definition. Therefore, God is for a human of all times simply the inconceivable, the unutterable, and the indefinable one. God goes beyond the world and human, but at the same time penetrates them in a divine way. He abides in the world, encompasses it, and yet cannot be identical with it. Meister Eckhart (1260-1327), an erudite theologist and a leading thinker of the German mysticism is one of the first, unsatisfied with the old as well as with the modern ways of approaching the question of God, who sought out to find an inner third way. The way in which he described and analysed the differences between the ways of existence based on having and on being (to have and to be) is very interesting for us. It is a mystical deliberation that is directed more towards a truthful production of his deep experience than towards building an original system. Indeed, in Eckhart's thinking the central thesis is that men firstly need to be free of any desire, then of avarice together with any structure of having as all ethic norms are rooted in the ethics of being, sharing and solidarity. In fact, his radical demand is to completely give up the orientation toward having, i.e. to advocate all-encompassing innocence, as well as the demand for social action in the spirit of love to our neighbours and human solidarity. He builds his attitudes on a firm ground - Jesus Christ, who for Eckhart is the hero of love, the hero without power, who did not apply force, who did not want to rule, who did not want to have anything. He was a hero of being, giving and sharing. In this paper the author has tried, as much as possible, to precisely represent the work of Meister Eckhart in its entirety, which, by the strength of its spiritual expression and socio-religious influence, is one of the most original documents of mysticism and mystic theology within the "western" context. To recall, Eckhart lived and worked in the transition of 13th and 14th century, and that was socially and spiritually speaking a very turbulent time that followed after the golden age of scholasticism; that was the time of creating great philosophical and theological systems, and so the modern way, which was threaded by many young thinkers of the time, came across tremendous resistance and opposition.

The two most prominent mental disorders in Renaissance were madness and melancholy. However, the insufficient familiarity with its symptoms and causes bore not only the Renaissance's fascination but also the distinction between madness, melancholy, hysteria, bewitchment, anger or rashness. +e Renaissance theatre tried to stage this popular topic despite its scanty props. Shakespeare was familiar with the then living notions and thus used a number of symptoms to present the chaos madness aroused. Still, the most obvious symptom for Shakespeare was the fragmented and incoherent speech of his mad characters. +is pattern can be connected to Julia Kristeva's modern theory of an asymbolic and melancholic language depicted in her book Black Sun (1989). Despite a significant time distance between Shakespeare's tragedies and Julia Kristeva's theory, the aim of this paper is to show that Kristeva's theory of an asymbolic, incoherent speech can be applied to the speech of Shakespeare's mad characters, namely Ophelia, Hamlet, lady Macbeth, king Lear and Edgar.

Tema razlikovanja ludosti i melankolije, kao dva najistaknutija mentalna poremećaja, bila je vrlo aktualna u renesansi. Naime, zbog nedovoljnoga poznavanja i nemogućnosti razlikovanja brojnih, a često i identičnih simptoma i uzroka ovih poremećaja, ludost se često poistovjećivala s melankolijom, histerijom, vračanjem pa čak ljutnjom i bijesom. Ova je tema vrlo brzo postala aktualna na renesansnim kazališnim pozornicama koje zbog svoje ogoljenosti i škrtih rekvizita nisu nudile mnogo prostora za prikazivanje tada poznatih simptoma. Shakespeare je, naravno, bio upoznat s tadašnjim zapažanjima, te je prikazao ludost koristeći mnoštvo simptoma, ali prije svega kroz fragmentirani i nepovezani jezik svojih likova. Za njega je, više od bilo kojega drugog simptoma, upravo ovaj prvi i najočitiji pokazatelj mentalne uzdrmanosti. Knjiga Julie Kristeve, profesorice lingvistike i psihoanalitičarke, nazvana Black Sun (Crno Sunce) i objavljena 1989., govori o monotonome i nepovezanome jeziku melankoličnih i depresivnih likova. Usprkos velikom vremenskom odmaku između Shakespeareovih tragedija, nastalih u razdoblju od 1600. do 1607., i ove moderne teorije o simbiozi jezika i ludosti, ovaj rad nastojao je pokazati kako je moguće primijeniti zaključke iste na jezik likova poput Ofelije, Hamleta, Lady Macbeth, kralja Leara i Edgara.
